Automated Email and SMS Notifications for Limo Companies

Send automated booking confirmations, driver reminders, client updates, and owner alerts via email and SMS — triggered by booking status changes.

DrivOQ's notification system fires automatically on 11+ trigger events throughout the booking lifecycle — from initial confirmation to trip completion. Each notification type has independent email and SMS toggles, so you can configure exactly which channels to use for each event without affecting others.

SMS messages are sent through Twilio using a dedicated phone number provisioned per company, so your clients always see a consistent number associated with your business. Email is delivered via Resend with your company name as the sender. Both channels support quiet hours: messages scheduled outside your configured hours are held in a queue and delivered at the next allowed time.

Budget controls let you cap monthly SMS and email spend per company. When the cap is reached, further messages are paused until the next calendar month. Template variables cover all key trip details — client name, driver name, pickup address, vehicle type, reference number, total amount, and more — letting you personalize messages without custom development.

Frequently asked questions

Does each company get its own phone number for SMS?

Yes. DrivOQ provisions a dedicated Twilio subaccount and phone number for each company. Client SMS messages come from your company's number, not a shared platform number, giving your brand a consistent presence.

What happens if a message is scheduled during quiet hours?

Messages that would be sent during quiet hours are queued and held. The system automatically delivers held messages as soon as the quiet hours window ends, so no messages are lost.

Can I set a spending cap on SMS and email?

Yes. You can set monthly budget caps for SMS and email in your company notification settings. When the cap is reached, further outbound messages for that channel are paused for the remainder of the month and automatically re-enabled at the start of the next month.
